Blame Tiff... Yet a Third Time

Ok... since I can't seem to have an original thought without Tiff prompting me, here's another little ditty.

Beware! What you are about to read, cannot be unread. No amount of mental clorox is going to white wash this from your psyche. You've been warned.

Alright, let's get Jungy with it.

Over at Tiff's little corner of the blogoshpere, she postulated upon a pseudo-scientific personality type thingamajigger, and then told us all to go take the test. We were supposed to report back to her on ours and it turns out... I indeed failed the personality test. There's a shocker, right?

Well... maybe not "failed" in the classic sense of the word, but here's what it had to say about me. I'm something called an INTJ. That's Introverted, iNtuitive, Thinking, Judging for all you troglodytes that can't comprehend a simple acronym... Don't worry, I had to look it up too, erm... the acronym, not the word troglodyte. Anyway...

Do you think that their description is an accurate representation of little ol' me? How about this one?

Oh c'mon... me? A mastermind? Do you really think I can pull the strings to make all of you little puppets dance? Comment for me now, puppet-children... Oh... and take the test too if you want.

My eyes started to glaze over on that long-winded description of the personality type. I think humans are far too complex to fit into boxes. We act in different ways depending on so many things. My answer to a lot of these questions would be "it depends".

Fermi: My answer to a lot of these questions would be "it depends".

MW: That's exactly what I was going to say! In fact, that's exactly what I did say to a friend just now in an email.

My answers to at least half of the questions could have gone either way; therefore, the test described some things about me very accurately and other things not so accurately (at least as far as I can tell from my very subjective viewpoint).

LL, what part of your revelation about yourself might have required me to clorox my brain? ;-)

I too found myself saying... well... depends on the situation. But I answered anyway and look where it got me. I'M A MASTERMIND! So there...

What part? I'm not going to admit that any of it was accurate... I'm much too private for that. *whistles innocently*

Interesting...when I took this back in the early-90s when I still worked at the Univ., I was an ENFP, although I was pretty sure it should have been an I. Anyway, this time around I am an

Oooooo... a tad judgmental, are we Kathleen?

Yes Wa11z... I've got you commenting on the end of a string. I suppose the genius of it all is that you didn't even know you were being manipulated.

Actually, I read Tiff's post and wound up taking that test, too (sorry for not commenting, Tiff, if you see this . . . I ran out of time). Turns out I'm an Introverted Sensing Thinking Judging kind of guy. Quite honestly, a lot of those questions could have gone either way. Or at least that's what I sense, think and/or judge.

Wow, that's some pretty impressive company you are keeping with your personality type. I now hold you to much higher standards.

Bahhh...

You should read more of my posts Dr. Babe. That alone would confirm that I'm not worthy of the company they say I keep... ;P

Although I've now got to ask... how low were your standards before?

Hey, whaddya mean I only got ?% for thinking? Damn... Err, well now, *cough, cough* lets just sweep that one under the carpet for now.

Erm, yeah anyway, like what fermi said about us humans being far too complex -- well, maybe not me, anyhow, maybe?

And another thing; even though this test is a strictly yes or no list of err, yes and nos, its values will always lead to a predictable outcome, and there lies the problem -- we're not very predictable, are we?

slightly expressed sensing personality

Yeah, that guy is quite comically informative, or rather he was up till March. So, I suppose I can put off from being doomed for a while. P;

I took it too and turns out I'm LAMF.
Seriously, you have to tell me how you found my blog. After all, its not like I gave it an address like Myscreenname.blogspot.com. How INTJ would that be?

Well... I suppose LAMF is better than LAME. That might have given you serious issues!

As for the finding of your blog... a magician never reveals his secrets. That would make him human instead of a puppet-master. I will say this though... all the clues are out there, just waiting to be put together. :ewink:

I think I was in a judgemental mood that day. I wonder if I took it today if it would be different.

I've changed types in the last few years, which was a surprise. There are a lot of masterminds on the interwebs, which pleases me in some odd way.

Blame me all you want!

Oh, and Mr Schprock? How long does it take to leave a comment?

Yeah, I don't think these tests fit either. I always get some Ghandi humanitarian thing, but I'm a recluse. You know?

Did you ever order up a Russian bride?

Actually Beth... I did. Seems they didn't put enough postage on the box though and she's stuck postage due somewhere in Western France... :P

Tiff - now that I have your permission, I'll be blaming you for nearly everything now!
