And the Winner Is...

Not me. In case you were wondering...

But the good news is that I don't have the worst experiences in travel. So that should make me feel better.

Congrats to the winners of the TravelHell contest. Damn shame I didn't win first place though... I had a feeling that it was going to be a T-Shirt from Sunny made with Swarovski crystals (which it was), and I knew just exactly what it was going to say, and who I was going to send it to.

Damn shame...

You wouldn't have worn the t-shirt yourself? Is it because your beard would get caught in the crystals? :P

Something like that... ;)

I think you'd look lovely in a crystal t-shirt. LL, I didn't know you were even gay. This has nothing to do with wearing crystals, but I read a snippet a while ago on SFSD and if I was correct, you mentioned a boyfriend or something. I didn't even know you were gay! I have a single brother. I'm just saying.

Ummmm... no. Not gay, or even homosexual. Nope... no fashion sense here, just the ability to cook for myself. Not even any plans of becoming a professional figure skater...

Nor do I remember mentioning a boyfriend anywhere when discussing myself. I've got a few buddies around, but they're all married and have kids. I've only said that there's currently no Lady Loser around these parts...

Mistakes do happen though Beth. As for the shirt, I was planning on sending it to a girl. Strictly for tormenting purposes mind you, but to a girl never the less...

Damn. And I knew I would have been a shoe-in, if I'd ever traveled anywhere.

Aw crap... well, there's always next time g_s... erm... if you actually go anywhere before that.

Do you think Joe stories would qualify as TravelHell?

Oh my gosh, I am SO SO sorry. I don't know what the hell I read then. You know, I'm not feeling well so can I blame it on that? Ugh, that's so embarrassing. I don't think being gay is wrong, but I really thought you were and now feel so stupid. Sorry about that, LL!!

OK, Fermicat laughing makes me feel a little better. I swear, it was an honest mistake! I hope. OK, not honest ... just plain stupid. Haha.

First you think I'm married, then you think I'm homosexual. You are given to extremes, aren't you Beth... ;P

Don't sweat it, I didn't take offense. Well... much offense anyway. ;)

I still think the misunderstanding is hilarious. :D But my sense of humor runs to the juvenile sometimes...

Re: Your comment on my last post...

My Mom was actually reading it first. It looked interesting, so I asked to have it when she was done. We always pick up off books. We get curious about something and we HAVE to know more about it. I have a pretty vast collection on genes, greek mythology, and child psychology (of all things).

Thanks Tink.

My curiosity grew from the fact that Kathleen (a commenter above you) just barely finished reading that exact same book and recommended it as her book of the month. I didn't think you read Kath's blog, so when the same book popped up on your blog, it made me extremely curious.

I did think you were married and then I thought you were gay. Yes, yes, that's me ... extremes. My brother was married and yet he's gay, so you see, my life has been spent seeing stranger things than most. haha

too bad, that. I thought your stories rocked.

you KNOW that pictures would have been necessary if you'd won that tee.

I'd have sent it you you then to model and show it off. ;)

Erm... except that it would have never made it quite this far.
