The Time of the Season...

It's days like this that remind me of the reasons for living...

The trees are budding and blooming...

The bees are in full buzz...

The willows are starting to sprout their leaves...

The birds are nesting and chirping...

The snow is falling... Que???

Ahhh yes... Spring in bat country. Wish you were here.

****************************
Today's mystery lyric: (Remember the rules folks, no online searching of the lyrics, if you don't know it, you don't have the answer!) Another easy one. I'll be ashamed of all of you if you don't get it.

What's your name?
(What's your name?)
Who's your daddy?
(Who's your daddy? He rich?)
Is he rich like me?

Has he taken
(has he taken)
Any time
(Any time to show)
To show you what you need to live?

Answer to last lyric: Mr. Shorty by Marty Robbins.

Snow?!? In May? Oh, that ain't right. No wonder you got no cats around there in Bat Country.

I was sweating to death today, getting my herb garden in the ground and doing some other long neglected outside stuff done.

And finally an old song - it is Time of the Season by the Zombies.

So you're saying that Nathan would probably know this song too? :P

Snow just makes you appreciate the warm days more...

Nahhh... I wouldn't actually call it pretty. It's got its charm, but... if they were ever to give the world an enema, they'd probably stick it in somewhere around here.

As for the Mos... well... yeah, some of the originals caved in and joined, but not those of us with functional memory. My Great Grandpa was a heathen and when my GGrandma married him, they ex-communicated her immediately. She never had a good thing to say after that (probably her Scottish ancestry coming out). Fact is one of her quotes was that she disliked anyone who would "go to church on Sunday and steal you blind on Monday".

I'd have to agree...

Tell it to me slowly,
I'll tell you why,
I really want to know...
It's the time, the season for love...
Well that's a bunch of BS, isn't it? grr

When that song first hit the airwaves, I was busy having my "terrible twos". To everything, there is a season.

Trees just starting to bud in late May? No thanks. My nearly 15 years in CT taught me to appreciate the early Springs of the South. However, glorious Spring days are to be appreciated wholeheartedly, as they are glorious!!

BC - Ahhh... those. Still depends on where you're standing.

fermi - sorry, I believe that's a song by the Byrds... not the Zombies. Of course I'd wager at the time you were turning, turning, turning... ;P

Tiffy - Bah! Spoiled you've become!

Mr. S. - I wish the oil was plumbing out here... I'd take that paycheck.

Charm - Hey now! No comments from the no longer blogging crowd! :P
