Morgie Revisited

Today's going to be a double feature. This post is going to be much easier than the next one, but them's the breaks.

Anyway... I asked my dad about Morgie yesterday, and he filled in some things, and believe it or not... I was not correct about some things.

It's ok... you can get up now, it does happen occasionally.

First the corrections (these make the Morgie tale even more bizarre).

Morgie didn't get directed to kill the evil one by the good lord as I originally remembered. Actually, he was compelled to get "the assassins". Dad told me that those were his exact words. And he knew that what he was doing was wrong, but he couldn't help himself. He had to take out the assassins. They were out there and he had to stop them. Then he went on his spree, and wound up in the looney bin.

A few weeks later, President Kennedy was killed.

The second thing, doesn't amount to much, but the second kid, the one that got the axe, was named Larry. Morgie hacked his head open something fierce, and he lay in a coma for months. However, any time that someone would ask his mother how he was doing, she would reply, "He's doing just fine. He's going to be allright, and by the time it's all over, you'll hardly know that it happened." She'd even tell this to the doctors, who would roll their eyes, and cast sideways glances at each other.

A few years later my dad was down at a cousins shop when a fellow drove up. He got out of the car and walked up to them and started visiting. After a while he said, "You don't recognize me, do you." They both admitted they didn't. As you've already guessed, it was Larry. Dad said it was amazing, he only had a slight limp.

And there you have it.

That's what happens when you just make up stories. The facts get all jumbly-like. :P

They should have just let him get the rest of the assasins. Then the Kennedys would rule the world today.

Sometimes it's amazing what faith can do.
