And Then...

One day you wake up and you're old.

It's been a long year...

*************************************

You're sittin' around watching the tube and a friend pops their head in the window. You haven't seen them for about a year, so it's a bit of a surprise, but hey...

So you hang out for a while lookin' each other over, and decide... what the heck and pull out the camera and snap a couple of quick shots before they leave...

Good to see 'em again...

*************************************

You're sitting around and the room gets kinda funky, so you look out the window and sometimes... you've just gotta snap a pic...

I must admit, I like the mountain pics better than the snake ones.

So the snake comes around often?

I'm sure she's here all the time, but I don't get to see her much. With all the moles around, I imagine she stays pretty busy.

OMG, heart attack followed by total serenity. I LOVE your view ... except for vile snakes.

Wha? You don't like snakie? Awww man... I'm sure she'd snuggle right up to you given the chance...

As for the view... the mountains are a weeeeeeeee bit closer than they appear in the picture. I've got one of those cameras that isn't a SLR. I'll post a pic of my parents place one of these days and you'll get to see the difference.

I love your view!! Of course If that was my view, it would of been taken through a broken window! I would have shot that snake with my husbands 300 short mag (I got him for Christmas) As you are laughing wondering if I can shoot that caliber... yea I can! I am not a "flatlander" I just don't like snakes on my window! (Shudder!)Away, way, away from the house! Liked your other photos though! Very beautiful!

Cool! Snake and Mountainblogging!

I noticed that the window wasn't open in the first snake picture. Wuss? ;-)

That's the view out your window? Crap, I'd never watch TV.

Here's my view: http://www.flickr.com/photos/73897489@N00/tags/home/

BC-- this one was a bit more skittish, so I'm actually wagering that it's not the same one as last year. I couldn't get that one to move with my foot, this one took right off this morning.

TW -- you sobbin' women and your fear of snakes... That's not much of a view though. Like I say, here in the next couple of days I'll post a pic that gives you a better look.

fermi -- Yeah, it was pretty neat. That happened the exact same night you were fiddling around with your photos on your blog. It was quite surreal, and actually a view of the southeastern sky, opposite of the sun.

Kath-- it's a picture window, it doesn't open. :P As for the view and you not watching TV... yeah you would. After a lifetime, it's just home, you get used to it.

If you're not careful out there in Bat Country, you could fall off the face of the earth! Still, beautiful view out there.

I didn't name this blog the End of the World for nothing...

Oh, btw Kath, that is not the view out my window. I had to actually walk out my front door and look a little to the left... :P

You're probably right, but heck, I can stop and look out my windows for a chunk of time, so I'm pretty sure I could waste time there...I'd probably put a chair out your door and to the left a little bit. ;-)

Parent's place, parent's place ... I'm chanting. I love beautiful views. I'm not a city slicker. I need my space ... and view ... plus a nice side of quiet. Is your land all fenced in?

And that's the view outside your window.

Fuck.

I'd take the snakes to have that vista.

Tink - you weren't expecting a snake? Why not? I left plenty of clues... :P They can be kinda mean if you bother them, but they're not poisonous and I don't bother them unless I have to...

Beth - Alright... I'll post the pic sometime this week. Just for you. As for the fences... yup.

Tiff - Such language from a lady! Must be all that floating you did last week catching up with you. ;) As I've said to the others, that's not much of a picture of what things really look like around here. You'll see...
