Blame Tiff: Episode IV, A New Hope

Yes... that damn Tiff... she really missed the Muppets, and of course linked to a YouTube of them, which has caused me to sit at a computer watching Muppets now for the last few hours...

So it reminded me of the time that I decided to blend some of my favorite characters to trading cards. It was hard to do, but I've got mad skillz in all things tradingcardish... so I present to you, without further ado... Mupscape*

Our hero, and the cast of characters that you all can enjoy...

I hope you all enjoyed my work. I slaved almost incessantly over them for... well... some time. Please leave me all the compliments and whatever you do, don't go over to this blog and look at his drawing section. No really... I deserve all the credit here.

Sincerely -- Kimmy.

And now a throwback to posts of the past...

Today's mystery lyric: (Remember the rules folks, no online searching of the lyrics, if you don't know it, you don't have the answer!)

I would wait in line for this,
There's always room in life for this

Oh babe, oh babe,
Then it fell apart, it fell apart

I haven't seen those in a while. Nice work, LL... I mean, John. Or is it Kimmy? She is one hell of an original blogger, even if she does have that wenis problem.

*takes bow* You're too kind...

Besides... how can you think about the Muppets and not think about Mupscape?

Hmm, Farscape Season 1 isn't available on DVD (although all the other seasons are). How lost would I be if I started with Season 2?

Is there a prize for this mystery lyrics? Cuz it's... Moby! Ha! You didn't think I would know that did you! Yes it is true I am a music fanatic! Most everything but rap. I love to play who sings this? My husband doesn't like ti because I can tell him who it is before they start singing! So what did I win?
He had fun on his fishing trip. They placed just out of the money. I will post a picture of him with his Dorado in a few!

BC - see previous post. ;)

WOW - That would be ME! Erm... you didn't go to THAT blog... did you?

Wa11z - yeah... you young-uns miss all the good stuff.

JennyLu - Hi back... ;)

Kath - Would you be lost? Yup... you'd miss out on all the good stuff... or at least 22 eps of it. The reason Season 1 isn't available is because it's completely sold out. Check Netflix.

TW - Ooooo... Moby it is... Sometimes they're easy, sometimes not so much. The mere fact that you were the first one in shows that is was a bit more difficult than usual. Your prize of course is the utmost admiration of your peers and the knowledge that you won. Isn't that prize enough? Didn't you notice that from my previous posts? :P

LL - I don't know, I got into farscape after season1, it was like the 3rd season I got into watching it and loved it. I did manage to see the first season in sequence (on one of the scifi marathons) but ... your right, there is a lot to miss in the first season, but your not LOST per se

For Kat - Season 1 has some high-impact episodes that set up underlying plot elements that the rest of the series is based upon. I recommend seeing it in the proper order. Amazon has season 1 DVD boxed sets available from its marketplace sellers. Or there is always Ebay. Or take LL's advice and do the NetFlix thing.

I hope you burn your wenis.

It's weird, yesterday I noticed this thing called "download activity" on statcounter that says if anything has been downloaded from your server, so I clicked on it and saw that a bunch of images were recently. I thought "Who's doing that?" And for a second, I actually wondered if it was Kimmy...

I've checked Netflix, they don't have it either. I don't like to buy a season's worth of a TV show if I don't already know that I like it.

Details according to wikipedia:

Original Farscape DVDs AD Vision issued Farscape in volumes that they later combined in box sets. These are known as ADV's Original Farscape DVDs. Currently seasons 1 to 4 were available in this format, but season one was discontinued due to lost rights, and is now difficult to find and extremely expensive. The rights were ceded to Sony, who have chosen not to re-release. This means the entire series is not currently available in Region 1, and the rights are divided.

I don't know what ADV was thinking when they put out the DVDs. I bought them a long time ago, before they had full seasons, in little sets of 4 episodes each. In retrospect, buying a ton of $20-something DVDs must have ended up costing a lot more than getting the four season sets, but the money was more spread out. That's what I tell myself, anyway.

Wait...what? How the hell do you lose the rights to just one season?

Jenn - I got into FS during season 4, and I needed a roadmap. Just about quit watching, but stuck around and got hooked. Start with Season 1, if you can stop after the season finale... you'll never be a fan.

TW - Oh... you've never seen Farscape either? Don't even start. Nope. Don't do it, and whatever you do, don't let your kids watch it with you. Seriously. :innocent:

Tiff - somehow I knew you'd get a kick out of those.

Kath - Detroit was a hot area for a lot of the "save farscape" campaign. Check with the local libraries, they might have them too. I was never very close with Janey13, but she was from Det and she'd probably hook you up too. If only you'd have wanted to watch them a few years ago! ;)

g_s - Wha? You should be congratulating me on my artistic skillz, not wishing ill to my fleshy areas...

Jaime - Kermit? You're too young to have Kermit as your hero. Now John Croakton on the other hand... ;)

But you are right... I've been green a few times and it ain't easy!
